Florian BG Klein

Flux Arts’ director Florian Ben Graziano Klein also known as Ben Graziano is an independent filmmaker, musician and actor.

Youth in Germany: Growing up in Berlin, Germany, Florian started to play the violin and the piano in an early age. In school he joined every kind of musical ensemble he could do to enjoy his passion: Making music and being on stage. As a member of the orchestra he got twice the chance to play under the conduction of the well-known Sir Simon Rattle at the Berlin Philharmonie.

After graduating from the Arndt-Gymnasium School in Berlin 2006 his ambition was to be on stage or in front of the camera.
He took part in various acting workshops in Berlin and Munich.
After auditioning at Drama schools in Germany and Austria without success at this stage at that current time he started to study at the LMU Munich Japanese and Sociology Studies (2007). Knowing it was not the right path for him Florian decided to take the chance and left Germany to study a full-time programme in Media Production and Drama in England.

Studies in England: 2008 he moved to Winchester, UK. During his studies at University of Winchester (2008-2011) he found his way with photography and filmmaking. Throughout his studies Florian was also involved in various productions on stage. He took part in the opera/play Dido and Aeneas and in an own devised piece Ignis Lane. He performed in Performing Arts Winchester productions Jack The Ripper and The Wonderful World Of Dissocia for which he earned the award for the Best Performance in 2010. Florian was also a member in the gospel choir SONG and musical choir SOHO formed by Foundation Music Winchester.

Music: In 2010 he got a pround member of the south-coast Soul and Funk sensation Hannah Williams and The Tastemakers. With the band he supported acts like the James Taylor Quartet, the legendary Sugar Hill Gang, Craig Charles and Jools Holland. Beginning of 2011 the band got signed to the label Record Kicks, Milan. Album release October 2012.

Film-projects: In 2009/2010 he worked on various projects with ScreenCatcher (Co-Director, Executive Producer, Writer and Camera-Op). Their last documentary Tipi, Or Not Tipi was shown at the Winchester documentary Festival U-Doc 2010 and won an award for Best Cinematography.

Flux Arts: In 2011 he started to work on his own business and created Flux Arts. His first project was ‘Snow Time’, a short experimental piece using time manipulation.
In May 2011 he premiered his first completely own written, produced, directed and edited short film ‘Le Café’. This film was also his Final Year Project for his BA (hons) Degree for which he received a first. With Flux Arts he continues promoting and exposing upcoming artists.

Now in London: Since Summer 2011 Florian lives in London and follows his passion within the creative sector. He works as a runner and production assistant for media companies trying to learn and get slowly in his beloved area. Recently he started to discover photography new and considers it as a profession to do.
